Chisato is a visual artist who has style of cartoony and graphic. Currently based in Gunma, Japan.

Her love for drawing started when she was a little child. She was into drawing people thinking stories for them. She was also obsessed with animations (and she still is). She spent most of her childhood watching animation films, singing songs from them, playing with the toys of characters from those films (and she still does).

She joined an art class when she was 4 years old, and since then, she used to go to the class every week for 15 years. She got to know that art is what she wants to do in her life at very early point.

She chose to go to an art high school and graduated as a Design major at Tokyo Metropolitan Art High School in spring 2016. Besides studying formulas for making both graphic design and product design, she has created lots of illustration pieces in the past 3 years of high school. She had the opportunities to exhibit them at some galleries like Metropolitan Art Museum in Tokyo.

She also has experiences of working as a pattern designer in a company for beddings and rugs.

She moved to San Francisco in summer 2016 and started studying visual development at Academy of Art University.

She has learned basic visual development such as character design and concept art, and color theory and digital painting for 2 years.

She has held self-produced solo exhibition twice in Tokyo which featured mixed media illustrations (in 2015) and featured character sketches (in 2016). Both exhibitions succeeded and she sold some of her artworks there.
